As an official sponsor of Swedish Pavilion at Expo in Shanghai, Scandinavian Perspectives sponsors the winner of a design competition with an 8-day unforgettable tour in the Swedish landscape of style and design!

The design competition was arranged by Shanghai Tongji Design University in cooperation with Swedish University College of Arts, Craft and Design (Konstfack).

The 1st prize winner, Joyce Liu, was announced on the inauguration ceremony of Swedish Pavilion at Expo in Shanghai on the 1st of May 2010. She created a pair of cutlery with built in chop-sticks. The jury motivated their choice with following words;

"The winner has succeeded in combining two cultures. The wood and metal in this unique Swedish-Chinese product symbolizes our differernt traditions as well as the city and nature. The simplicity in the design facilitates production. It is both practical and aesthetically attractive."

The Scandinavian Perspectives design-trip will provide the winner with firsthand experiences and in depth knowledge about Swedish style and design!

You will start off in fashionable and design-oriented Stockholm, try traditional glass blowing in the Kingdom of Crystal, dive into IKEA’s efficient furniture design and discover how the Swedes combine eco-friendliness with style in the heart of Swedish design - Småland!
