Oslo

The capital, Oslo, is located at the end of a 100 kilometre long fjord and is surrounded by green hills and a vast forest area. There are attractive skiing facilities just outside the city and the outdoor fanatic inhabitants of Oslo spend a lot of time on activities in the mountains or in the Oslo fjord. The name Oslo may actually have meant "the meadow of the gods" at one time. Furthermore, Oslo is the business and cultural centre of Norway and is considered one of the world's foremost shipping cities.
