Northern Norway
Northern Norway's nature is very diverse. The coastal landscape of Finnmark has mountain plateaus tipping down towards the sea, but you can also find forested valleys with rivers and small farms. This is the land of midnight sun and the Northern lights. In the three northern counties the sun never sets from the middle of May to the end of July. The northern lights consist of flickering lights that dance across the night sky, a result of a positively and negatively charged particles from the sun entering the earth´s atmosphere and colliding with neutral gas particles.
