Northern Norway Northern Norway's nature is very diverse and rough. The coastal landscape of Finnmark has mountain plateaus tipping down towards the sea, but you can also find forested valleys with rivers and small farms. This is the land of midnight sun and the Northern lights. In the three northern counties the sun never sets from the middle of May to the end of July.
