Happy Midsummer!

Midsummer Eve is always a Friday between 19 and 25 June. It is the longest day during the year. Midsummer is an occasion of large gatherings and in many cases, whole families gather to celebrate this traditional high-point of the summer. Many Swedes begin the day by picking flowers and making wreaths to place on the maypole, which is raised in an open spot the children will dance around the maypole and sing a song about small frogs. The adults may drink some alcohol and eat preserved herring, smoked sermons and potatoes with season vegetable, such as fresh salad and strawberries. Swedish teenagers may pick seven different flowers under their way to home and put them under the pillows. According to the legend, they will see their future husbands in the dreams.
