Helsinki – Stockholm – Oslo – Copenhagen

Day 1, Arrival Helsinki

Arrive in Helsinki – the capital of Finland.

Coach transfer from the airport to your hotel.

Day 2, Helsinki – Stockholm
Breakfast served at your hotel.

Your coach and guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of Helsinki after breakfast.
The tour will take you to see the Senate Square, Uspenski Cathedral, the Parliament Building and the Olympic Stadium. You will also see the Sibelius Monument and the Temppeliaukio Rock Church.

After lunch, we recommend you to take a boat to Suomenlinna, one of Finland’s most popular tourist attractions. The 250-year-old fortress, which has been preserved intact because of its military use, is included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Experience the fortress, which was built during the periods of Swedish and Russian rule. Enjoy the parks, the sea and the nature of the archipelago. There are boats bringing you back to the city.

Another option is to visit the Aquarium – “Sea Life”, here you can spend hours watching different shark species, colorful fish of coral reefs, rays, jelly fish, sea horses and many others.

You can also spend some time at the Market Place where you can find fish products, local national crafts, unusual hats, knitted and wooden products and of course all the classic souvenirs.

In the afternoon it is time to board your overnight cruise to Stockholm.

Day 3, Stockholm
Breakfast served on board while approaching Stockholm, with its 24000 islands, the Stockholm archipelago is quite unique. The views before the cruise ship enters Stockholm are beyond comparison.

A coach and guide will meet you at the pier taking you on a 3-hour sightseeing tour. You will get the chance to see the city from above, from the spectacular sightseeing spot at Fjällgatan. Then you will continue towards Old Town and the Royal Palace. The tour also includes entrance to City Hall, constructed in the National Romantic style, where each year on December 10th the Nobel price banquette takes place.

After lunch your coach will take you to your hotel for check in. End of coach service at hotel.

In the afternoon we recommend you to visit the Vasa Ship museum with the warship Vasa – the only remaining, intact 17th century ship in the world. A five minute walk away you will find Skansen, the famous open air museum on the island of Djurgården. You can also take an archipelago boat trip or visit Drottningholm Palace which is the royal family’s permanent residence.

In the evening, take the opportunity to visit Absolut Ice bar, here the temperature is a freezing -5 degrees all year round and everything is made of ice.

Day 4, Stockholm

Day 5, Stockholm – Oslo
Breakfast served at your hotel.

Travel to Oslo by coach and observe how the landscape changes outside your window. The journey takes about 8 hours including a stop for lunch and you will arrive in Oslo in the evening.

Spend some free time in Oslo and enjoy the water front at Aker Brygge and the Akerhus Fortress. At Aker Brygge there are lots of good restaurants serving local food such as fresh Norwegian salmon.

Day 6, Oslo – Copenhagen
Breakfast served at your hotel.

Meet with your coach and guide at hotel for a 3-hour sightseeing tour including the Vigeland Park, Parliament Square, an outside look of the Royal Palace, National Galleries, Karl Johan shopping street, City Hall, Akershus Castle, the Norwegian Defence Museum and a photo stop of the Olympic ski jump Holmenkollen.

In the afternoon, take the DFDS overnight ferry to Copenhagen. Enjoy the entertainment facilities on board. The cruise ship offers a fantastic range of activities for kids and adults.

Day 7, Copenhagen
Breakfast served on board.

Arrive in Copenhagen in the morning.

A guide and coach will meet you at the pier and take you on a 3-hour sightseeing tour of the most important sites, including the Little Mermaid, Gifon fountain in the Langlin Park, an outside look of Amalienborg Palace (including the Royal Guard change if time allows), Christiansborg and the Parliament, an outside look of the Opera house, Nyhavn, Ströget pedestrian street and the HC Andersen statue at Radhuspladsen.

After lunch your coach will take you to your hotel for check in. End of coach service at hotel.

Day 8, Copenhagen, departure
Breakfast served at your hotel.

After breakfast it’s time to leave Scandinavia for now, unless you prefer an add-on trip in one of these beautiful and inviting countries.
